GIS Analyst
PEG STRATEGY is looking for a Geomatics Analyst to join a team of GIS analysts and projects managers who are motivated by a desire to have a real impact in the clean energy transition and who can’t wait to learn more about you!
YOUR TYPICAL WORKDAY
The position will include tasks similar to the following, which will be flexible depending on how you develop, as we believe it’s essential to capitalize on individual’s strengths and interests.
- Participation in the research, management, analysis, and integration of spatial and environmental data
- Production of thematic maps for renewable energy projects
- Prepare feasibility analysis reports for renewable energy development) in various regions
- Occasional site visits
- Support with templates and reports writing
- Participation in technical innovation and optimization projects – in a team and/or individually
- Other ad hoc tasks, to be discussed based on your personal development.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Bachelor or master’s degrees in GIS, geomatics engineering, geography, environment, or any other relevant field
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant GIS experience
- Experience with ArcGIS and Web Services (asset)
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Demonstrate autonomy, proactivity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Must be available to work a minimum of 2 days per week at PEG Strategy’s coworking space in Montreal. You can work from the office or telework for the remaining days of the week, as you see fit.
